Visit the Vineyard Drive Winery
You are invited to visit, see, and taste what we are all about. Tasting at Thacher is serious but low-key, non-pretentious, and for real. We are making meaningful, authentic wines with integrity and by hand. We let the vineyards shine through and offer minimal intervention. The nice people who will pour for you are knowledgeable oenophiles who serve you on our beautiful patio adjacent to the winery. We are excited about all we have going on and eager to share our piece of Paso magic with you. We offer three types of tasting experiences.
First, our Current Release tasting is seated outside and served by a knowledgeable host. Appointments are highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome if space is available. We pour outside seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (the last tasting is at 4 p.m.). Tastings are $20 per tasting, waived with a two-bottle purchase.
Second, our Funky Fridays offered only on Fridays, promise an obscure, fresh, unconventional lineup. The tasting menu will rotate and feature varietals you may have yet to try, such as Cab Pfeff, Valdiguié, Mencia, Cinsault, Negrette, and more. We will discuss and taste native, carbonic, whole cluster, co-fermentations, and maybe even a pétillant naturel. Tastings are $20 per tasting, waived with a two-bottle purchase.
Third is the Stables Tour and Tasting, offered most Fridays and Sundays at 2:00 pm. These two-hour elevated tours and tastings provide one-on-one attention with a dedicated wine educator, who will guide you through the property and a selection of exclusive wines. You will taste rare varietals, library offerings, new releases, and reserve wines. The Stables Tour and Tasting are $80 per tasting, take place in newly renovated old horse stables, and are limited to a maximum of 12 adults, ages 21 +. Please, no children or pets.
The ranch offers plenty of fresh air, so please experience the wines and enjoy our service. Please, no furry friends, as we have our own.
