Art After Dark

6-9pm @ Studios on the Park.  1130 Pine Street Paso Robles. We celebrate Art After Dark Paso, a downtown Paso Robles tradition of art, wine, and live music-filled evenings at the start of every month! 

This is the opening reception for L'étreinte arborescente, an inspired body of work celebrating the Tree by professional artists from San Diego, Los Angeles, Long Beach and the Central Coast. Enjoy a special live performance by BlackBird Blue and wine tasting courtesy of L'Aventure Winery and Thacher Winery.

BlackBird Blue sound like their namesake: their Dark-Horse melancholia and its Poe-Bird underpinnings are unmistakable. The nod to a Folk, Country and Blues born of old, faded, black and white photos is understood, but even so the emphasis is on sincerity, not authenticity. Like any soul who has ever truly been Blue will attest, you first must have a heart before it can be broken. And it is precisely here that these boys shine.
